The Arc of Northern Shenandoah Valley is a local chapter of The Arc of Virginia and The Arc of the United States, membership organizations made up of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, friends, interested citizens and professionals.
Founded locally in 1967, The Arc/NSV values the dignity and worth of all people. Members believe that if all citizens were accepted and had the supports and services they needed to exercise control over their lives, then communities as a whole would be deeply enriched.
The central focus of our organization is advocacy and the right to community inclusion for all.
